Synopsis
Not your mama’s yuletide tale unless she drank too much egg nog or was born with a cheeky sense of humor.

Murder, mystical artifacts, an invisible demon with anger management issues, and an overbearing cupid—not what Rosalie Thatcher wished for on her Christmas list.

The holidays had always been a magical time for Rosalie, but not this year. Stephanie, her new manager at Penrose’s Department Store, is determined to make this season the most profitable in the store’s history, even if it sucks the life out of every employee. Introducing arbitrary rules and stealing the affections of Anthony, the cute temp Santa, were bad enough, but forcing Rosalie into the stupid elf hat was the worst. The worst, that is, until she meets a real E.L.F. (Elemental Life Form) named David and gets lassoed into a desperate hunt for the stolen Naughty and Nice List. Rosalie and David must dodge a murderous invisible demon and recover the missing artifact before hellhounds track them down. The couple race against time for without the magical guidance of the Naughty and Nice List, the world will tumble toward eternal chaos.

My Thoughts
When the Naughty or Nice book is stolen, it is up to David, an E.L.F. (Elemental Life Form) to find it and the thief before chaos begins in the world.  When he discovers that it has been hidden in Primrose’s Department Store that is where the real fun and excitement begins.

Primrose’s is the type of department store that you would expect to find in a small town.  It has been established forever and the employees’ generally love to work there and the customers always seem to get in a good mood upon entering.  But, that all changes when the Naughty List is stolen.  Attitudes change for the worse and Primrose’s becomes the place you just don’t want to be near.  Bah Humbug!  Will David be able to find the Naughty List before it’s too late? Well, you will have to read the book to find out!

In between the mystery and mayhem, this is also a love story.  David and Rosalie are the cutest couple!  But since David is an E.L.F. and Rosalie is human, the Integral Council sends a cupid to ensure that all guidelines are met.  This was by far my favorite part of the story and Natalie, the cupid, my favorite character.

The Naughty List was so much fun to read!  It is the perfect story to get you in the holiday spirit.  With a great cast of lovable, quirky characters, made this book absolutely impossible to put down! Ms. Kelley has taken a traditional Santa story and put an entirely different twist to the jolly old man – and I liked it!  The romance is sweet, and the action is abundant throughout.  If you are looking to get in the holiday spirit, or just need to read an uplifting, feel-good story, then I would highly recommend The Naughty List!

Excerpt
David had enough time left to make one quick circuit of the first floor before staff trickled in. He worked from the front of Penrose’s to the back corner, ending up at Customer Service. For an instant, his spirits rose. A large box stashed underneath the counter wasn’t there the last time he checked. He ripped off the top, pawing through the contents. Fingering the garish green material, David didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. The oversize ears stuck out like a genetic experiment gone horribly wrong. The lining felt like steel wool. Had the holiday spirit been reduced to this?

A wave of despair enveloped him. “I’m so sorry, Rosalie.”

On impulse, David reached into his pocket. He pulled out a gold-wrapped chocolate bar saved for later, swiped from a stash hidden in the store manager’s office. David scribbled on a sticky pad and pressed the note to the wrapper. He slipped the candy under the counter just before a sudden murmur of voices broke the silence. The staff had arrived. He ducked behind a rack of clothing in the back as a girl walked up to the counter, an elf hat tucked under her arm.

“Ears, Rosalie.”

She halted in mid-stride. A sharply dressed twentysomething in a skin tight pencil skirt swooped down on her. To get a better view, David carefully eased back the clothes hanging in front of his face. He saw Rosalie’s fingers clenched around the hat. He chuckled to himself. She’s pissed, but hides her aggravation well.Sadhri would definitely approve of her self-control.

“Stephanie,” Rosalie stated calmly, “the hats are extremely uncomfortable. Everyone hates them.”

“Nonsense, they’re fine.”

“If you simply try one on you’ll see—”

“I don’t have to. I know they’re fine. The hats put people in the holiday spirit and cheerful people spend more money.” Stephanie examined her perfect French manicure. “So close to Christmas is an awful time to be out of work.” Rosalie jammed the hat on her head without another word. “Excellent,” cooed Stephanie. “Keep that attitude up and your name will stop
appearing on the Motivation Memo.” Without another word, she flounced off.

David knew he should dash-away. Every moment in the open was risky, but he couldn’t take his eyes off Rosalie in the idiotic hat. What would she do?

The young woman leaned against the counter glaring after Stephanie. She bobbled her head back and forth and spouted in a falsetto sing-song:
“I’m a special elf from Penrose’s
I wear the special hat
You are not a special elf
You’re a dirty rat
You don’t belong at Penrose’s
You don’t know how to play
Wiggle your tight ass out of here
Damn you, go away.”

David snorted. Rosalie stiffened and turned around.

“Who’s there?” she called nervously.

Meet the Author

Bibi is a former marketing executive and mum to a gorgeous little girl currently residing just north of London. She recently spent a year living it up on the beaches of Western Australia and her hobbies include consuming copious amounts of coffee and chocolate, building cardboard castles and creating stories in her head.

Inspired from a young age, her love for literature started with Enid Blyton and her Secret Seven. Since then a voracious appetite for books has brought her a world full of heroes, love, murder, betrayal and the odd vampire thrown in for good cause.

Having long admired those brave enough to put pen to paper, or in this modern age of computing, keyboard to screen, she has finally started telling the sexy stories that she has been keeping locked up in her head all this time.

excerpt

“Lie down on the mattress on your front, arms above your head, resting your cheek on the cover,” Alex says. I do exactly as he asks and he strides around the platform confidently to where my wrists are. He quickly cuffs them before attaching them to a rope that comes out the side of the platform so that I can’t move my arms. Alex then moves behind me and I can see out of the corner of my eye that he now has a further two cuffs that he attaches around each ankle and then secures them so that my legs are spread. I can feel the cool air between my thighs and I find myself squirming in expectancy.
A moment later Alex comes around and kneels in front of me, his eyes hard. “Choose a safeword,” he says. “Make sure it is something you can bring to mind readily.”
“Daisy,” I whisper, as my favourite flower springs to mind.
“Be aware that I am going to test your limits so screaming, crying out no or stop won’t do anything. But if you really want this to stop, say ‘daisy’, and it will be over in an instant. Okay?”
“Okay,” I respond, knowing that I am about to walk into the unknown.
“Promise me!” Alex stresses and I catch a glimpse of the soft side he seems to think he doesn’t possess.
“I promise.” I respond clearly.
Satisfied, Alex nods his head. “I am going to blindfold you now,” he says just before slipping the cloth over my eyes. Instantly I am in pitch black and my other senses are on high alert. I hear Alex moving about the room and that only furthers the anticipation. Suddenly I hear music; some kind of soft drumming that seems to match the rhythm of my heartbeat. It is a little louder now, but I can still hear Alex’s movements.
I wait and I wait and then I feel it. The soft tails of the flogger caressing my skin as it makes a path down my neck, across my back and then across my butt cheeks. My nipples are erect, burning even, in my arousal and I can feel the dull throb in my pussy. The flogger continues its journey across my body and down my legs before returning upwards. I gasp as I feel it getting higher and higher, and then it is right in the apex of my thighs, running across my sensitive clit. I moan as the throb turns to shooting sparks of pleasure in my abdomen.
Then suddenly the flogger is gone. I wait a moment and then feel as it comes down on my bare behind. I am anticipating a stinging sensation but instead I hear a light thud and all I feel is warmth spreading across the area where Alex has struck me. Then the flogger is back, running its tails across my skin before coming down on me, slightly harder this time. Alex repeats this action several times in time to the drumming, making my heart beat faster each time I anticipate each strike.
I am startled when I hear something drop on the floor and then I feel Alex shift me. Suddenly I feel two fingers thrust into my wet, needy pussy and I let out a low moan. “Someone is enjoying this,” Alex states. “And you taste so fucking good. I think it is time to take this up a notch.”
My mind is racing and, as I remember the crop, I find myself tensing, slightly scared about what’s to come. Without warning, I hear a whoosh and then my arse is on fire as the crop connects with my already sensitive skin. I scream out in response, already tensing for the next strike when I feel Alex’s cool hand running over my hot skin. “Fucking beautiful,” I hear him murmur before planting a kiss on my behind. He moves away and I brace myself for the next hit. When it arrives, it is painful, but now that I know what I am expecting it is less scary. Alex repeats his soothing action with his cool hand and his kiss, and I finally start to relax when I realise that it is not going get any more painful than this. Alex starts to work a pattern on my behind, but I am hardly aware of it as my mind seems to slip away, lost in the sensations and the drumbeat.
The throb between my legs is desperate and I am completely consumed by my need for release. I am vaguely aware of the crop hitting the floor and my ankles being released before I am being flipped over. The sheets are cold and fresh on my painful behind, bringing relief to my overheated skin. The mattress dips and I feel Alex between my thighs, a pillow being slid under my hips. And then he is inside of me and I cry out in relief. A hand comes down and pinches my clit and I shatter as my orgasm consumes me. The hard thrusts continue and the angle Alex’s cock makes the pressure on my g-spot unbearable. Just as I catch my breath, I feel the tightening of my pelvis once again, the sparks in my abdomen and then I am falling apart, ripped to shreds. Alex never stops his relentless thrusts as I come over and over around him, calling out that I can’t take anymore. Finally, I hear him grunt as he finds his own release and I feel his body collapse onto mine.

Blurb
These days, finding love online is as commonplace as ordering that coveted sweater. But back in 2003, the whole concept of Internet dating was still quite new, with a stigma attached to it that meant those who were willing to test the waters faced a fair amount of skepticism from friends and family.

Such is the case for Chloe Thompson, a restless 20-something tired of the typical dating scene and curious about what she might find inside her parents’ computer. With two serious but failed relationships behind her, Chloe isn’t even entirely sure what she’s looking for. She just knows that whatever it is, she wants to find it.

Based loosely on author K. J. Farnham’s real-life online dating experiences, Chloe’s foray into online dating involves a head-first dive into a world of matches, ice breakers and the occasional offer of dick pics, all while Chloe strives to shake herself of the ex who just refuses to disappear. Will she simultaneously find herself and “the one” online, or will the ever-growing pile of humorous and downright disastrous dates only prove her friends and family right? There’s only one way to find out…

Click. Date. Repeat.
 Excerpt
Since Sean lives south of the movie theater and Shelly, Craig and I live about fifteen minutes north, we decide to just meet there. When I mentioned that Shelly and Craig were interested in joining us, he jumped at the opportunity to meet my friends. To top off his willingness to share our date with others, he also offered to pick us up. I told him there was no need for that, but these gestures made me even more excited about the prospect of getting to know him.
“So, what are we seeing?” Craig asks.
Love Actually.” Shelly and I respond at the same time.
Craig looks at me in the rearview mirror. “Does your guy know we’re seeing a chick flick?”
“Yeah, he’s the one who suggested we see it. His sister saw it and she told him it’s the perfect date movie.”
“Aw. That’s so sweet that he talked to his sister about your date.”
“Why is that sweet?” Craig asks.
“Because I think any guy who talks to his sister about his love life is probably pretty sensitive and thoughtful.”
Craig laughs. “That’s a load of crap. Your brother talks to you about his love life all the time.”
“Yeah, I guess you’re right. Anyway, are you nervous, Chloe?”
“No. Not really. I’m actually a little excited to see him.”
We pull into the parking lot right when I told Sean we would arrive. He is already waiting out front.
“There he is,” I say as we drive past.
“Ooh. He’s cute,” Shelly whispers.
I notice that Sean is wearing a different baseball cap this time. The hat is dark blue, and it is forward facing. I wonder if collecting hats is a hobby or if he just likes to accessorize. But most of all, I wonder if he ever goes anywhere without wearing a hat.
“I thought you liked tall guys,” Craig says. “What is he? Five-six, five-seven?”
“No, five-eight.” I know this is probably not true, even though it is the height he listed on his profile, but the fact that Craig is pointing out a height deficiency bothers me.
“Uh uh. He is not five-eight. Trust me.” Craig shakes his head.
“Who really cares?” Shelly pipes in. “If Chloe doesn’t care how short he is, why should you?”
How short he is? So, Shelly thinks he’s short too? I almost ask Shelly how tall she thinks he is, but the car is parked and my friends are already getting out.
As soon as Sean sees us, he rushes over and gives me a hug.
“Hey. It’s so nice to see you again,” he says.
When our torsos part and we are face-to-face, I am reminded of how good this guy makes me feel. “Yeah, it’s nice to see you too.”

excerpt

The cabin was dark and gloomy in the moonlight, its stairs even squeakier than mine. I slowly followed him up them, waiting until he flipped on the light before stepping inside.
The decor was what I would have expected—nonexistent. A plain brown couch was pressed up against the bare wood wall, a boxed-out TV sitting on a makeshift stand on the opposite wall with a set of rabbit ears on top. There were no curtains or throw pillows. No rugs, no runner on the tiny dining room table. But it was clean, and it was cool, and it smelled like him.
My eyes fluttered closed as I breathed him in, the scent so overwhelming I felt myself sway. When I opened them again, he was gone.
Glancing from side to side, I stepped further inside and peeked down the hallway, finding a bright light shining from an open door. I hesitantly started for it, smiling when I saw it was the bathroom. A towel and washcloth had been left out on the counter by the sink. I moved inside and closed the door, feeling around and then reaching up to find no lock.
“Okay …” I mumbled to myself, turning back to the tub and twisting the handles until the temperature was perfect. Glancing back at the door, I quickly stripped out of my clothes, jumped inside and pulled the curtain shut behind me.
The water was searing in the best sort of way, steaming up the room and loosening my sore muscles from a day of angry weed pulling. I could have stood under the hot spray all night, just basking in the forceful water pressure. This shower was so much better than Mona’s.
Dipping my head back, I closed my eyes to wet my hair, hurriedly wiping the water from my face when I felt a brush of cool air against my legs.
My heart pounded, thinking it was Joe, but it was only the air from the furnace blowing the shower curtain. I couldn’t imagine what I would have done if it had been him. The fact that I wanted to find out had me washing off a little quicker. I didn’t know if I was ready for him to see me naked.
I dried off and got dressed as close as I could to the door in order to avoid that accident waiting to happen. If he did ever end up seeing me naked, I wanted to be prepared and not look like a drowned cat if I could help it.
When I emerged from the bathroom, he was coming down the hallway, shirtless and with the button of his pants undone. I swallowed, unable to take my eyes off his zipper until he reached out for my towel.
“Mind if I use that?”
“Uh, yeah.” I handed it over. “I mean, not unless you do.”

“Nope.” He slid past me and into the bathroom, setting my bag out in the hallway before cracking the door. I stood outside of it while I listened to him adjust the curtain and turn on the shower, trying to decide if I should just take off or not. I was getting ready to knock and tell him I was leaving when the water suddenly shut off, the shower curtain screeched and the door opened to reveal a mess of towel-dried brown hair and a shiny, wet chest.
